Crynodeb

Our current framework consultant will produce a Ground Investigation scope of work. This will be the basis of the work to be undertaken following a tender process. This will include drilling of boreholes over the existing land area and over the intertidal and subtidal areas to be covered by the marine works (including dredging). This will include drilling for and recovering sediment and rock samples as well as recovering samples for contaminant testing. It is inevitable that a jack up barge will be required for some or all of the marine boreholes. This will include land based boreholes, trial pits and geophysical surveys. Overwater surveys will include boreholes in a range of water depths. This work will also require the recovery of sediment samples for the environmental assessment. The work will need to be prioritised to cover certain areas first. 07/11/2023 22:27	Site Visit Update Thank you to those who have confirmed attendance at the site walkover visit on Thursday 9th November. This is to provide some further information regarding the visit: 1. Please bring a safety helmet and reflective jacket, these will be required in the operational parts of the port. 2. Some of the areas may be muddy and partially overgrown and the weather is forecast to be moderately windy with a chance of rain and the visit is intended to be entirely outside. Suitable clothing and footwear is therefore recommended. 3. It is not intended to get close to any quay edges but for anyone who thinks they might wish to do this, please bring a lifejacket 4. For those who intend to visit and have not confirmed, please e mail tim.bownes@mhpa.co.uk with the names of those attending. Advance notice is required for visitors wishing to enter the operational areas of the port. Visitors may receive a form via e mail to be completed prior to the visit. 5. We are assuming all visitors will have their own transport which will be used to travel between the various locations. For anyone on foot there will be a small number of seats available in some vehicles. 6. 09/11/2023 20:52	Tendering process is not subject to the application of the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 Notification MHPA wishes to advise Tenderers that the tendering process for the procurement of the GI services for Criterion Quay is not subject to the application of the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 by reason of the anticipated contract value falling below the threshold applying to works contracts. Consequently, Tenderers are advised that the Invitation to Tender is revised as follows (noting that a standstill period no longer applies): Page 12 – where it is stated: “3.6 Procurement Strategy MHPA are operating this procurement in accordance with the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 (as amended by the Public Procurement (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 adopting the Open Procedure.” This is revised to read: “3.6 Procurement Strategy The Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 (and any amending Regulations do not apply to this procurement the value of which is anticipated to fall below the financial threshold applying to works contracts.” Page 15, Table 6.1 – where it reads under ‘DATE’ and ‘ACTIVITY’ Monday 11th December 2023 Standstill period ends This row is to be deleted.
