Crynodeb

Transport for Wales (TfW) has a Social and Commercial Development Plan aimed at bringing under-utilised or disused spaces at stations back into use for social and commercial purposes. TfW is now delivering Phase two of the programme, which has been separated into a number of Lots, this tender is in relation to Lot One North and includes three stations; Llandrindod wells, Llanelli and Hereford. The buildings at each station typically require building fabric refurbishment inclusive of mechanical and electrical works to bring the station buildings back into use.

In conjunction with this procurement exercise, TFWRL is running a parallel procurement for similar works in North Wales (SCDP Phase 2 North).

Whilst these procurements will be assessed in isolation, if a single contractor is successful in both North and South procurements, Upon consultation with the supplier, TFWRL reserves

the right to award a single contract under the same terms and conditions as provided within this ITT.

There will be an optional return section within the ITT documentation, where we will ask you whether you are able to provide a discount percentage against your total tendered prices of being awarded both contracts.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. 27/03/2023 16:29	Additional Answer to TQ Hello, please see below information regarding an unanswered question, R:E Hereford. Raised for Hereford Please confirm the proposed spec of the proposed ramp illuminating handrail? No specification given including required LUX output. Appear questions are being raised within the design review documents if illuminating handrail is actually required? Answer: It is my understanding that handrail illumination was omitted from the design when the external ramp was last in scope. Subject for Hereford. Appears that the M&E schematic doesn’t cover the 'power to' illuminated handrail? Are there any other information available for this? Answer: It is my understanding that handrail illumination was omitted from the design when the external ramp was last in scope. Subject for Hereford. We note within the Activity Schedule and Appendix A of the Form G submission the drainage is silent on the requirement, however within the Appendix B of the Form G there is some detail around drainage connection etc. Please confirm is this is 'for information only'? Answer: The drainage requirements shown in Appendix B (the civils drawings) represent the drainage designs needed to make a connection from the unit to the existing foul drainage system. Note that the latest version of the architectural drawings (Appendix A) make reference to the location of the pop up to the unit. The activity schedule may need to be updated to include for this scope?

31/03/2023 09:52	Additional Answer to TQ Question: Subject for Hereford. We note that existing fire alarm system is to be retained. We believe that some of the existing fire system will need to be temporary removed to allow fit out. Who will be responsible in removing and refitting. There is a potential that some of the system will require modification to allow false ceilings. Answer: We have allowed for the existing FA system to be retained and relocated as shown on our drawings. It will be the appointed sub contractors responsibility to undertake the relocation works. Please note the current drawings don’t show a false ceiling (or ceiling void above), additional detection may be required once a false ceiling is added to the scheme. We have only covered for ‘Shell & Core’ as per our original fee proposal.
