The domestic property portfolio of the Council comprises a mixture of social housing (approximately 13,785 properties in number) and other properties.
The Council has 25 properties containing passenger lifts (made up of high rise and sheltered properties).

Structure
The Council has concluded that its requirements are best achieved by procuring a Framework Agreement with a single Contractor delivering all elements (repair and maintenance). This provides continuity of responsibility including repair and maintenance. The following shows the structure of the Framework:

Responsive Lift Repairs
The majority of maintenance is covered under the planned maintenance agreements; and it is anticipated that responsive lift repairs are likely to be due to (for example) vandalism, mis-use or additional legislative Health & Safety requirements. / responsive call outs and subsequent repairs.
It should be noted that there is no guarantee that these volumes will remain unchanged; and will be dependent upon demand.
