Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council are seeking an outstanding Young Carers Support Service that will prioritise a specific cohort of children/young people aged 8 to 18 years (up to their 19th birthday around transition to adulthood). This service will aim to promote and improve the health and wellbeing of young carers where their caring role has been assessed as having a negative impact on their own education, their ability to form friendships or undertake social activities and pursuits. Thus, supporting young carers to enjoy their childhoods and meet their educational achievement and potential despite their caring roles & responsibilities.

It is expected that the future opportunity will run for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for up to a further 2 years.

Providers are invited to attend a market engagement (ME) event on the Wednesday 3rd July 2024, between 10:30am to 12:00 on Microsoft Teams.

II.2.14) Gwybodaeth ychwanegol
The value indicated is an estimate only for the total potential contract duration of up to 5 years. Funding for the initial 3 years is £75,000 per annum and will be fixed. There is an expectation that there will be a minimum of 10-15 group activities per quarter and not less than 50 individual 1 to 1 referrals to the service each year.
