Qualifications Wales wishes to award a contract for the provision of consultancy to conduct a review of our approach to inclusion and diversity and for the provision of a training programme for employees and Board members, building on the review findings.

We wish to award a contract to a provider who can work with us to consider how well we are building an inclusive culture and identify any areas for improvement. We are particularly keen to understand what impact, if any, working remotely has had on our culture, and how we are perceived by new starters, and (if possible) by employees who identify themselves as having a protected characteristic.

We want to provide employees with training sessions that are meaningful to them and support our overall objectives. We would like the provider to develop or adapt training material after completing the review and having built a good understanding of our organisation.

We want the provider to consider the PSED in Wales and also the recent Anti-Racist Wales Action plan when undertaking the review and proposing the content for the training.

We expect the review to be completed and a training programme to have been developed and two sessions delivered before 31 March 2023, with a further two sessions delivered by mid July 2023. There may also be potentially a further two to four sessions (assuming a headcount of 15 to 20). The contract will run for 2 years from 13 September 2022 with the option to extend for up to one further year, subject to the total spend under the contract not exceeding £138,000 including VAT.
