The University has been successful in obtaining Welsh Government Smart Capital Grant funding, to procure equipment which has to supplied, delivered and paid for before 31st March 2024.
We are now looking to award a contract for The Supply & Installation of an Anti-Gravity Treadmill to deliver physiological & biomechanical testing & support to the new Performance & Rehabilitation space.
The new laboratory will provide a range of services to athletes, patients, students, researchers & University partners including injury rehabilitation, performance testing, motion analysis etc.
Wrexham University has been awarded a Welsh Government SMART capital funding bid for the purchase of 1x Anti-Gravity Treadmill.
The funding requires any equipment to be purchased & delivered by no later than the 31st March 2024.
The Anti-Gravity Treadmill is required to assist athletes & rehabilitation patients to shorten recovery time, reduce injury risk and enhance athletic performance. The treadmill must allow athletes/patients to exercise at a reduce load (ensuring less pain) in a safe manner that aids the rehabilitation process. The equipment must have software that can monitor rehabilitation progress. The equipment package must include delivery and installation, a minimum 12 months warranty and service provision must be provided and training for staff.
The indicative budget for this contract will not exceed £61,200.00 including VAT.
