Planned & Reactive Roofing Maintenance Services

The Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales requires a competent Contractor to provide reactive and planned roofing maintenance services to include, but not limited to the following: -

*Reactive repairs and maintenance

*Planned maintenance of rainwater goods (including annual drain and gutter clearances)

*Roof inspections

*Provision of written reports and photographic evidence, recommendations and any cost saving initiatives

*Replacement of rainwater goods/chimneys

The Contractor must belong to one of the following professional or trade bodies: National Federation of Roofing Contractors Limited, Competent Roofer Scheme or equivalent.

The Contractor must have managers and supervisors who have undertaken the Construction Skills ‘Site Management Safety Training Scheme' or equivalent.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

The Contractor shall:

(a) Have objectives and targets for decarbonisation set out in a decarbonisation plan;

(b) Minimise waste within their organisation and supply chain;

(c) Keep up to date with developing legislation and technologies;

(d) Provide a skills development plan for staff;

(e) Utilise local suppliers in the Force area.
