Award of Contract for the operation management and transportation services of Torfaen County Borough Council Household Waste Recycling Centre/Transfer Station at Panteg Way, New Inn,Pontypool within the Borough of Torfaen. The Contract will be for duration of seven years with the option to extend on an annual basis subject to satisfactory performance and maintenance of reasonable costs up to an additional three years. The Authority has contracted with one service provider who would be managing the sites and responsible for the sorting of the materials. The authority will allow sub contracting under this arrangement by prior agreement only. The contract will cover for the provision of management; day-to-day operation including recycling and recovery services at the site. Including for routine maintenance and transportation of specific contract Waste streams from the site to Council’s nominated final disposal facilities and Waste Transfer Station and to nominated and/or agreed Reprocessing Facilities. The Service will also be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the facility and opening and closing each day.
